The Public Prosecution Service (OM) is charged with the criminal enforcement of the rule of law and with other tasks determined by law. This main task of the Public Prosecution Service can be divided into three sub-tasks: the investigation of criminal offenses, the prosecution of criminal offenses and supervision of the execution (execution) of criminal sentences. The Public Prosecution Service of Curacao aims for a safe and just society, in which citizens feel protected and in which crime doesn’t pay. This is why we choose interventions that are visible, noticeable and identifiable to victims, offenders and the community as a whole. We do this in the courtroom, in each of the countries, but also, ever increasingly, outside of the courtroom.
